Intelsat Delivers Baseball's All-Star Game

Major League Baseball's annual summer event, the All Star Game will be delivered to viewers in over 200 countries via Intelsat's Occasional Video Solutions (OVS) network.

Intelsat already satcasts 40 MLB games per week for Major League Baseball International, which coordinates network planning for MLB. The games will be broadcast from North America to Europe, Latin America and Asia using four Intelsat satellites. Intelsat will receive the signals via its major video switch interconnects, transport them by fiber to its Riverside and Fuchsstadt teleports, and uplink the games to Intelsat satellites for transmission to broadcast receive sites around the world. BT Broadcast Services is providing MLB with Intelsat capacity for the Asian distribution, which includes over seven games per week to Asian rights holders.

The 74th All Star Game will be played at U.S. Cellular Field on July 15.
