Rick Bolin has been appointed as CEO designate of the IABM. Bolin will take up the appointment on October 1, taking over from the current CEO Roger Crumpton in 2008.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of Rick Bolin as our new CEO", said Graham Pitman, chairman of the broadcasting equipment manufacturers' association. "This appointment, coming at this point in our development, will enable us to build on the extensive changes we have made in the last two years and to meet the strategic challenges we face over the immediate years ahead".
Bolin is a Canadian, educated in the US with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona. Until recently Rick was Chief Executive Officer of FBBT (Fighting Bull Broadcasting Technologies) based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Roger Crumpton commented, "Rick will bring new depth and insight to our executive team. We will be working closely together over the months ahead and I wish him well for the future. Not only will the IABM be in safe hands but our considerable momentum will be maintained".
