Mobile production company Gearhouse Broadcast has purchased an undisclosed number of Grass Valley LDK 6000 mkII World Cam HD cameras from Thomson.
Gearhouse plans to use the cameras on its global rental and fly-pack projects, which is now being launched in the U.S. The cameras will include a 5-inch HD viewfinder and will be offered with a complementary range of Canon HD lenses.
Gearhouse's Los Angeles facility is the first U.S. rental house to buy the cameras, but the company plans to divide the cameras between L.A. and its other facilities in London and Sydney.
