Fox Powers BCS Championship Coverage With TriCaster
By TVTechnology published
Whether they cheered "Geaux Tigers!" or "Go Bucks!," college football fans unable to make it to the New Orleans for the 2008 BCS Championship Game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Louisiana State University Tigers could tune to FOXSports.com for live pre- and post-game coverage.
To power its BCS webcast, FOXSports.com relied on a TriCaster STUDIO portable production and virtual studio system from NewTek Inc., which was installed in the Louisiana Superdome.
With TriCaster, a single operator can run a live show with up to six cameras, two VCRs, multichannel effects and NewTek virtual set and keying technology.
LSU bested Ohio State to win the national championship, 38–24.
