Discovery Taps EVS for 'Most Haunted' Series

Discovery's Travel Channel recently used the EVS XT2 production and play-out server for a live-to-air production of its Most Haunted Live series to air an in-depth investigation of Jack the Ripper on location in London to a U.S. audience.

Tony Cole, vice president of Discovery Production Group said the production team used the XT2 to ingest, edit, and quickly play out live satellite feeds coming from London, giving them enough time to remove inappropriate content and edit to fit U.S. commercial breaks throughout the four-day show.

"We are thrilled to see Discovery utilizing the power of our platform for immediate turn-around of this live event," said Fred Garroy, general manager of EVS. "Their latest use of their XT2 server exemplifies the progression of tapeless solutions in the television workflow."
