Digital Video Computing introduces new digital cinematography recorder

Digital Video Computing will unveil a Small, lightweight, portable and battery powered digital cinematography recorder at IBC2003.

The CineRAM supports single and dual-link HD-SDI, as well as dual single-link for 3D applications.

The CineRAM enables users to capture fully uncompressed high-resolution images directly from the camera, and then transfer them to a VTR, DDR, or nonlinear editor.

The CineRAM pack can be mounted directly to the camera. With the press of a button, the full bandwidth, uncompressed camera signal is recorded. When the pack is full, the camera can be reloaded with an empty pack to resume shooting while the full pack data is transferred to permanent storage. It supports single and dual-link HD-SDI, as well as dual single-link for 3D applications. It has RAM sizes of 8 to 64 GB and can record up to five minutes of uncompressed dual-link and eight minutes of single-link camera output. Recorded clips can also be viewed from the CineRAM's HD-SDI output immediately after capture.
