Digital Systems Technology relocates to Atlanta, Ga.

Citing the high operating costs in the Los Angeles area while looking to streamline its operations, veteran systems integrator Digital System Technology (DST), will move its corporate headquarters from Irwindale, Calif. to Atlanta, Ga. next month. Senior management, including company president John Duggin and vice president/CEO J.T. Duggin, along with several support staff members, will make the move east.

The west coast continues to be a busy region for DST and the company said it will continue to maintain a presence in Seattle, Wash. with four sales executives and two engineers. A small Calif. office will also be supported, somewhere in the L.A. area.

The move will streamline the company’s operations because with the majority of DST’s employees now based in Atlanta, communication between personnel in a central office will prove faster and more accurate.

DST is in the process of locating a building in the Atlanta area that will house their corporate offices. The new space will support administrative activities as well as be used for “palletization”— a process by which DST builds and rigorously tests products and entire systems in their facility on wood pallets or in shipping crates before it is delivered to a client. It reduces construction time and saves clients money, according to DST.

Effective as of October 21, 2003, the company will be located at: 1856 Corporate Drive, Norcross, Georgia, 30093. Phone: (770) 638-1378. Fax: (770) 638-0099.
