Commission approves Sinclair, Mediacom carriage agreement
By TVTechnology published
The FCC’s Media Bureau has given its OK to Sinclair Broadcasting’s dealings with cable operator Mediacom. The agency last week denied a retransmission consent complaint by Mediacom, allowing as many as 800,000 cable viewers in the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, IA, markets to lose Sinclair’s programming.
According to the FCC in its denial of the complaint, Mediacom said Sinclair was engaging in good faith dealings for retransmission consent.
