Clear Channel Taps Video Technics for Tapeless Workflow

Clear Channel Communications recently selected Video Technics' all-digital, tapeless NewsFlow made by Video Technics, to use at its broadcast affiliate, KLRT - Fox 16 in Little Rock, Ark.

NewsFlow is used for news production, from ingest, editing and automation to networked attached storage and multi-channel playout and is built around the Video Technics's Apella Video Clip Server. Through NewsFlow's centralized database, KLRT new directors, reporters and editors can work simultaneously and share the digital media. KLRT's production uses remote VT proxy editors and NLE programs with MOS-controlled rundowns for on-air playout from the Apella server.

"When seconds count, we needed a solution that is extremely responsive to our needs, and one that allows us to build an operation for now and the future," said Michael Favac, KLRT's news director. "Video Technics had the best product with the most versatility," he said.
