CEA Launches International Department

The Consumer Electronics Assocation has launched an international department and promoted five executives. CEA staffer Elizabeth Hyman was named vice president, international to direct the new department.

The new department "will coordinate the association's efforts to expand relationships with associations and other groups abroad and seek partnerships with new international trade shows." It will coordinate CEA's international trade strategies and oversee operations in China.

The association is a partner the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce in producing the China International Consumer Electronics Show.

Also at CEA, Karen Chupka becomes senior vice president, conferences and events, and Todd Thibodeaux is senior vice president, industry relations.

Cindy Hoag was promoted to senior director of CES projects and Lisa McKellar as director of conferences. Hoag oversees and manages special exhibit areas at CES, liaisons with CES partner events and programs and assists with the implementation of new special interest areas for the show.
