Canada: CFL Kicks Off Season in HD

Are you ready for some football?

The Canadian Football League season, which kicked off last weekend, will include 77 televised games this summer and fall, with at least half of them in HD. TSN said it will broadcast 50 football games (an estimated 27 in HD), while the CBC will air 27 games (11 in HD).

Not all HD matchups have been determined, however, according to the Web site for Digital Home Canada. But TSN reportedly has promised at least one Friday Night game would be broadcast in HD weekly.

TSN's schedule (all times Eastern) for the remainder of June includes:
• Friday, June 23 - Toronto vs. Winnipeg at 8 p.m.
• Saturday, June 24 - Calgary vs. Edmonton at 10 p.m.
• Sunday, June 25 - B.C. vs. Saskatchewan at 7 p.m.
• Thursday, June 29 - Hamilton vs. Calgary at 9 p.m.
• Friday, June 30 - Toronto vs. B.C. at 10:30 p.m.
