After successfully completing a two-year broadcast engineering course at Ravensbourne College, Chris King has been hired by systems integration specialist Broadcast Networks as a systems engineer.
Over the summer, King worked on several projects for the company, including the installation of a new Network Operations Centre at Chellomedia in Amsterdam and a new television studio in Berlin for Bloomberg TV.
King has been interested in engineering and electronics for many years and went to Ravensbourne on the back of successful A Level results in various subjects including electronics.
Earlier this year he was appointed Head of Engineering for the college's student broadcasting event, "Rave on Air." King approached Broadcast Networks for assistance, and was loaned equipment to help stage the event. That initial introduction led to King being offered a temporary contract over the summer.
