Bourbon Street HD puts Thales Angenieux 26x telephoto HD lens to work

The Angenieux 26x7.8 HD telephoto zoom lens offers a focal range of 7.8mm to 203mm, and a fast aperture of f/2.2.

Bourbon Street HD, an HD production facility in Colorado Springs, CO, specializing in HD cinematography, has recently taken delivery of a Thales Angenieux 26x7.8 HD telephoto lens for use in commercial, documentary and action sports production projects.

The new lens was used at the U.S. Open of Snowboarding in Stratford, VT, the Baja 500 in Mexico, and "Coachella" — a two-day music fest in Palm Springs, CA.

The Angenieux 26x7.8 HD telephoto zoom lens offers a focal range of 7.8mm to 203mm (15.6mm to 406 mm with a 2x extender), and a fast aperture of f/2.2. The lens weighs 4.1lb. A rectangular sunshade minimizes light interference, and its construction is resistant to condensation, dust and rain.

Digital features include selectable zoom/focus sensitivity adjustments; an anti-breathing feature to maintain field of view when focusing; RS-232 control; and Thales Angenieux’s Assisted Internal Focus (AIF) technology for fast and precise focus control at any adjusted zoom speed.
