ION Media Networks joined the Association for Maximum Service Television, the Washington lobby representing local TV stations. ION, the network formerly known as Pax TV, owns and operates 59 stations, and it’s president and CEO, Brandon Burgess, is also chairman of the Open Mobile Video Coalition.

MSTV, as the lobby is known, is led by David Donovan, a fierce defender of television spectrum and one of the architects of the framework by which TV stations moved to final digital channel assignments.

ION Media Networks represents nation’s largest broadcast TV station group, collectively reaching more 94 million U.S. television households
