Bexel Supports Torino Olympics

Bexel Broadcast Services supported the recently concluded Torino Winter Olympics with technical expertise, engineering support and broadcast equipment rentals.

The company has provided equipment ranging from shotgun mics to full HD editing facilities. HD has been in the spotlight in connection with the Olympics coverage, and Bexel worked directly with the International Broadcast Center, which transmitted feeds worldwide from every Olympic venue.

"Nearly 90 percent of the Olympic content has been broadcast in HD--the most HD Olympics yet," said Craig Schiller, Bexel director of broadcast services.

The majority of the equipment supplied by Bexel was flown in to Italy over a two-month period prior the winter games.

Bexel Broadcast Services was founded in 1981 and is the largest U.S. video rental company.
