WXIA-TV, Ganette's Atlanta NBC outlet, recently began operating in HD, using routing and master control switchers from Utah Scientific.
"We had less than four months to get this system up and running, and not only did Utah help us design the most efficient pathfinding system to fit our facility, their staff was always available to help us with any issues that came up during the installation," said Leonard Thomas, chief engineer for WXIA-TV.
The master control and routing switchers complement other equipment purchased for the transition by WXIA-TV, including a file server, converters, production switcher and an automation system. The Utah Scientific HD router selected is sized at 256 x 256.
