Ascent Media Network Services has appointed Roger Henderson as managing director of its content distribution business in Europe. Henderson, based in London, is responsible for network origination and connectivity services in the region.
Henderson is presently non-executive chairman of Trilogy Communications (formerly Trilogy Broadcast). He also recently co-founded and provided strategic consultancy to Visual Media Inc., a software developer established to provide Open Source tools for broadcast and video professionals. Henderson raised venture capital funding to launch the company and then worked to develop Visual Media from concept to a reality, recruiting software and business development teams to build its presence in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Previously, Henderson was president and CEO of Chyron Corp. from 1996 to 2003. Prior to Chyron, Henderson filled a range of technical and managerial roles at Pro-Bel Software, culminating in the position of managing director. He was also was a key player in the execution of the sale of Pro-Bel to Chyron.
