Sweden's Aftonbladet TV7 has selected BTS' Enterprise software for its broadcast operation. The BTS system will be used to schedule TV7's program output and manage the advertising sales side of the business.

The BTS system will be implemented on a Linux server and will be integrated into the Aftonbladet internal communications network. The newly launched multiple language capability will also be used at the station, allowing operators to use the system in both Swedish and English.

Commenting on the deal, BTS Commercial Director Dave Hughes said: "Aftonbladet had a number of key requirements that we were able to satisfy, including full operation in the Swedish language and the ability to operate under Linux with Apple workstations".

The BTS Enterprise product implemented at Aftonbladet is a fully scalable, integrated application that can be configured for both single and multi-channel broadcast installations. Hughes added: "The BTS system was selected because it was able to satisfy all key requirements and we were able to demonstrate a level of software functionality that will be key to the continued growth of TV7".

Aftonbladet is the largest daily newspaper in Scandinavia and its TV7 television channel was launched in 2006. The station broadcasts a mix of live news, weather and entertainment.
