Gregory S. Smith was recently hired as the broadcast products marketing manager for Accom.
Smith's responsibilities for the digital video technology provider include positioning the Abekas 6000 video production server in the marketplace.
Prior to joining the Menlo Park, Calif. company, Smith worked in market development for SGI where he was involved in the development of integrated systems for media storage, management and distribution. Smith also served as product manager for Louth Automation/Harris where he led the development of DTV automation products. He also worked as the product manger for NLE news editing and live reply products for Sony Electronics.
