Vizrt Sports, a new division of Vizrt that specifically targets sports graphics applications, has opened its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Martin Burkhalter, a former Vice President at Reebok and Senior Vice President and Sports Director for the Lillehammer 1994 Olympic Games, is the managing director of Vizrt Sports.
Vizrt Sports maximizes many of the components of the new Vizrt organization. Vizrt Sports provides broadcasters with a customized video server and archiving solution from Ardendo, combined with the phone-based products from Adactus and Vizrt graphics products.
Vizrt Sports recently concluded its first sale to the Norwegian soccer association, which went on-air in April.
