Ole Miss Rebels give Swayze Field a new look

Swayze Field’s new ProStar VideoPlus measures about 14ft high by 23ft wide with full color pixels on 23mm spacing.

The University of Mississippi’s Swayze Field, home to the Ole Miss Rebels, recently installed a new baseball video and scoring display from Daktronics in Brookings, S.D. The specialized display includes a ProStar VideoPlus display with the ability to show live and recorded video, colorful animation and vivid graphics. The video display measures about 14ft high by 23ft wide with full color pixels on 23mm spacing. The display uses RGB center-to-center light emitting diode (LED) technology to present images and information with wide-angle visibility and incredible brightness.

Another major component of Rebels’ system is an All Sport baseball scoreboard. The scoreboard uses PanaView LED technology to display complete game information up to 10 innings. It features speed of pitch capabilities to let fans to know exactly how fast a pitch was thrown. The scoring and display system is supported by the Venus controller, V-Link video processor and All Sport scoreboard controller.
