TV One to introduce PX-720 standards converter
By TVTechnology published
A built-in time base corrector with full synchronization allows the PX-720 to be genlocked to a composite video source.
At NAB2006, TV One will introduce its PX-720, a professional NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards converter that offers improved, stable performance and a high quality, properly formatted signal.
The PX-720 can automatically detect PAL, SECAM and NTSC broadcast television standards. Motion compensation is also provided as an aid to improving the conversion process. A built-in time base corrector with full synchronization allows the unit to be genlocked to a composite video source. The TBC is active even in the bypass mode.
The PX-720 uses digital conversion and digital comb filtering in the decoding process. Internal 10-bit accurate A/D and D/A conversion circuitry is employed for 8-bit resolution.
