Triveni Streams With Datacasting Gear

At NAB2007, Triveni Digital will demonstrate its numerous products for data broadcasting and the management and distribution of data and metadata in digital television streams, including upgrades to its StreamScope and SkyScraper lines.

The company, a subsidiary of LG Electronics, will bring the fourth-generation of its StreamScope product line for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 stream-quality network-wide monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting.

The StreamScope MT-40 and RM-40 both support the error-severity prioritization defined in the ATSC A/78 Recommended Practice, allowing broadcasters to quickly detect and correct service impairments in the order of importance. The new StreamScope architecture also has a rule-based monitoring system--the Business Intent Assurance feature--and stream-transformation monitoring.

The company's datacasting demonstrations at NAB2007 will include digital signage, homeland security, and education applications deployed with the SkyScraper real-time content distribution platform, which enables the point-to-multipoint delivery of any digital content over cable, satellite, terrestrial, and IP networks. SkyScraper supports a wide variety of receivers, including wireless devices, set-top boxes, and LCD screens with integrated controllers.

The SkyScraper Ensignia DS digital signage applications allow advertising content to be updated quickly and efficiently. It's an integrated turnkey suite of digital signage products that provide bandwidth optimization and scheduled content distribution based on service-level agreements.

For public safety, The SkyScraper Emergency Services Network is an end-to-end communications network system. It utilizes any transport media, such as DTV broadcast, satellite, broadband, or WiMAX, providing a secure and reliable data path for delivering training, operational, and emergency alert information to targeted first responder sites.

Triveni will also debut its new 8-VSB mobile infotainment system for in-car applications, based on SkyScraper. Also on display will be new features of the GuideBuilder PSIP generator.

Triveni Digital will be in booth SU8525.
