TeamCast has unveiled the S150/250software upgradefor MOD-1000/2000 DVB-T/H modulators, which is designed to allow network operators to adapt local digital terrestrial television bouquets by inserting and splicing programs, without the need of a local remultiplexer.
For example, the upgrade allows operators to insert local programming into a national multiplex in an easy, cost-effective way. It also allows splicing of a local program in a national multiplex without the need of installing a remultiplexer.
The insertion and splicing process is controlled by an internal, dedicated PID management process.
