The COS-11x ultraminature microphone from Sanken is designed to provide high-definition-quality audio while meeting the concealment requirements of film, video and theatre.
Features of the COS-11x include an improved water-resistant front mesh screen to protect the microphone from perspiration, cosmetics, and foul weather. Vertical placement of the diaphragm provides greater effective area within a small casing. The microphone itself measures 4 millimetres by 16.1 millimetres.
The microphone is available in four colours — black, gray, beige, and white — and three versions — the COS-11x, COS-11xBP battery powered, and COS-11xPT pigtail.
Frequency response for the COS-11x is 50–20 kHz, and sensitivity is 17.8 mV/Pa (–35 dB). The signal-to-noise ratio (A-weighted) is greater than 66 dB.
