Laird Telemedia will have several product launches at its NAB booth.
The new Waveshot Transmits RS170A recordable video and audio signals. This microprocessor controlled transmitter features eight selectable UHF channels of RS170A quality video and audio signals.
A FireWire switcher with audio insert will also be onhand at the Laird booth. The Laird FireCut+ 4x1 DV performs switching of DV 1394 cameras, VTRs and more.
The new DVBETA DV media converter for digibeta equipment offers embedded SDI audio and is designed for transcoding Betacam/SX to DV. Features include bidirectional conversion of DV-SDI-DV with AES/EBU embedded audio at 48kHz, NTSC-720x480, PAL-720x576, digital (DVITC) and analog (VITC) time code support via BNC connectors, RS422 machine control and FireWire IEEE-1394 connectors.
Also new this year is the PhatCat, which sends video, audio and camera control from broadcast cameras up to 1,500 feet over standard CAT5 cable. Complete Transmit and Receive Systems are available for 26-Pin and 14-Pin multipin cameras.
