IBC Unveils 2007 Conference Program

IBC's 40th anniversary conference is once again dedicated to daily themes that cover related technical, commercial and creative issues. The IBC2007 conference program is now online at http://www.ibc.org/cgi-bin/displaypage.cgi?pageref=400.

Thursday's focus is "Broadcasting by Broadband," highlighted by a rigorous debate on the regulatory and financial challenges, starting with a jargon-busting technology overview.

Friday looks at "Growing Markets in a Shrinking World." How will globalization influence multiple delivery platforms, cross-border services, new business applications, and intellectual property?

Saturday addresses "Digital Lifestyles" and the issue of "content anywhere," from the connected home to interactive television to mobile media to user-generated content and social networking. With the fourth screen of mobile devices joining film, television and the computer, what about the fifth screen of automotive navigation?

Sunday focuses on "Content Production." This theme day looks at creating good pictures, good sound and good workflows. Topics include HD production, multi-channel sound, audio-video synchronization, file-based production, and content re-purposing

Monday has traditionally been "Digital Cinema Day," and this year is no exception. Case studies, panel discussions, workshops, and presentations will look at how digital technology, including 3D, can keep the cinema experience special. The RAI Auditorium will be fitted with the latest and best in cinema projection and audio.
