Holophone Plans MacWorld Demonstrations
By TVTechnology published
Holophone is planning to demonstrate its H4 SuperMini 5.1 microphone technology to attendees at the upcoming 2008 Macworld Conference & Expo show in San Francisco.
The H4 SuperMini is a camera-mountable surround sound microphone that allows users to incorporate 5.1 audio in multichannel Mac-based production workflows. It is equipped with Dolby Laboratories Pro Logic II encoding technology that processes audio from the six H4 mic elements into a stereo mic to allow direct recording in the camcorder it’s used with.
“The H4 SuperMINI makes a great front end for any Mac-based production setup,” said Holophone CEO Jonathan Godfrey. “In addition to its minimal learning curve, the H4’s recordings can be simply decoded by Final Cut Studio 2 as well as other programs with a Pro Logic II or Pro Logic II-compatible decoder, providing a seamless transition from the field or the studio to the editing suite.”
The MacWorld 2008 Macworld Conference & Expo runs Jan. 14-18 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.
