Entone Technologies has recently unveiled a new line of HD consumer premise equipment for IPTV VOD services. The new products support both standard- and high-definition television signals, including 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (H.264) and VC-1 compression formats are also supported.
The products include the Hydra HD IP video gateway providing three streams of interactive services, and utilizing existing coaxial networks; the Magi HD IPTV receiver that supports IP over Ethernet, as well as coax, QAM and ASTC delivery methodologies; and the Amulet HD single stream IPTV receiver.
"Entone's HD product family is part of our overall connected home strategy that focuses on removing the need for new home wiring and a set-top box at each TV," said Steve McKay, CEO of Entone Technologies. "We are excited to build on this success with our HD product family which we have designed in close collaboration with our customers."
Entone's HD customer premise equipment is designed to be compatible with middleware from Microsoft TV, Minerva and Myrio. All of the new products can be fitted with an optional personal video recorder.
