Electrorack Enclosure Products, a manufacturer of 19-inch racks, server cabinets and electronic enclosures has introduced its Automatic Grounding System that eliminates the need for users to drill through the surface to the ground.
Current grounding installation methods normally do not meet UL requirements, according to the company. "During testing, we found that existing installation methods were reliable enough to pass UL requirements only in perfect lab conditions," says Scott Shew, executive VP and GM for Electrorack. "The new Automatic Grounding System is foolproof, providing reliable and repeatable results."
The system features a specially designed grounding clip and standard butt splice. The clip system eliminates the need to drill and install braided cable, while maintaining compliance with UL standards for equipment grounding conductors.
