Bose introduces L1 Compact portable line array system

Bose has introduced a new portable line array system, the Bose L1 Compact, an addition to the firm’s L1 product line. The system was engineered to bring much of the performance benefits of these systems to a broader audience of performers and presenters. It can be carried in a single trip and, with no wiring or speaker stands to deal with, sets up in less than one minute.

The L1 Compact features a 14in line array and offers two distinct configurations: extended (68in tall) for larger venues or collapsed (17in tall) for smaller spaces, where it can be placed on a table or other elevated surface. It features an integrated low-frequency enclosure and combines amplifier, monitor, PA, mixer and EQ. Available inputs include one each XLR mic and 1/4in instrument, plus 1/8in and RCA stereo, accepting all common sound sources.

Like other systems in the L1 line, the L1 Compact uses several Bose technologies. Bose Spatial Dispersion loudspeaker technology enables wide, uniform sound coverage across the stage and throughout the audience, even off to the extreme sides. Two channels of Bose ToneMatch signal processing is built in to optimize the sound of instruments and mics. Available separately, the T1 ToneMatch audio engine provides an extensive library of presets, custom EQ capability with Bose zEQ and a suite of studio-class effects and processing.
