Bexel Debuts 3G Live!

Video rental company Bexel has launched 3G Live!, a broadcast production package that enables broadcasters to provide live content for the 3G and broadband community.

The system can use up to six video and audio feeds from a live production and create platform-specific content. Unilateral cameras and graphics also can be accommodated if needed. The system is housed in a portable rack system that can be quickly transported to and from a live event.

EVS LSM-XT is used to provide up to six channels of content ingest. After ingest, the clips are transferred to an XFile digital archive station and are rewrapped as QuickTime files using software from EVS Broadcast Equipment, a designer of media servers. After ingest, Apple Final Cut Pro Studio system edits and finished content.

Burbank, Calif.-based Bexel will offer the system starting in January.
