Alcatel-Lucent has brought out an enhanced version of its 5965 Mobile Content Platform, enabling operators to create personalized mobile shopping experiences for targeted subscriber segments based on individual interests and behavior.
The platform allows subscribers to view content for purchase according to brand and content type — making it easier for them to find what they are looking for without having to scroll through several different menus. The operator can support content on and off the network and can track purchases. Based on that intelligence, he can send targeted advertisements or special offers for related entertainment or brand-specific promotions. The 5965 Mobile Content Platform software can be added to mobile networks without replacing existing content systems.
