“Fairlight‘s Dream 2 platform delivers an integrated suite of production tools not found in any other product to date”, commented Stuart DeMarias Fairlight‘s Sales and Marketing Director. “For years now many companies have talked about the convergence of audio and video but none have even come close to delivering on their promise of a truly open tape less workflow.”

Dream 2 combines fully integrated support and flexibility for both SD and HD video and audio formats and presents these features within a familiar audio production console. It is ready to plug in to virtually any established IT network and can easily be connected to SAN servers such as those from AVID, Apple, Pinnacle and EVS to name just a few.

All Dream 2 systems deliver with high end automation and comprehensive monitoring capabilities which are usually found in products costing more than 10x‘s the total system price. If that‘s not enough also included is a built in multitrack recorder and editor and fully featured High Definition VTR. There is a built in bridge to 3rd party plug-ins through VST, ASIO and Rewire. Other standard features include a comprehensive sync and machine control system providing support for virtually any frame rate and connection to external references such at Tri-level, video and word clock.

DeMarais adds, “No other system takes away the worry and headache of plugging lots of multi vendor boxes together to create a true audio for video post production system. Why go thru the pain and expense and why would anyone settle for anything less? The DREAM II delivers lower cost of ownership across the whole range of Fairlight systems and sets a new benchmark for HD compliant media creation systems”.
