Creative Sound Adopts Jünger Audio’s Dynamics Processors As Standard

Jünger Audio’s high quality multichannel digital audio dynamics processors have been adopted as standard by Paris-based audio post production facility Creative Sound, which has now installed them in all of its studios.

Located in the 15th Arrondissement, Creative Sound was established in 2000 by award-winning sound mixer Cristinel Sirli and specializes in providing recording and post production services to a range of film, television and DVD clients. Originally built as a cinema, the facility has seven studios including a Dolby Digital dubbing theatre, which is primarily used for surround sound and 5.1 cinema projects, including a large number of film projects for the Romanian cinema market.

Creative Sound was supplied with its Jünger Audio dynamics processors by Paul Henri Wagner, director Jünger Audio’s French distributor 44.1.

According to Cristinel Sirli, this investment in Jünger Audio’s technology has not only given each studio access to very high quality audio processing, but it has also helped the facility meet stringent French broadcast criteria on audio levels.

“In France, both stereo and 5.1 audio for television must meet a level of 8db Full Scale,” he explains. “The Jünger Audio equipment looks after dynamics and loudness processing, making much easier for us to meet these requirements. During mixing we can simply forget about the stress of achieving specified levels and instead get on with the job of being creative and artistic because the Jünger Audio equipment ensures that we don’t exceed 8db.”

Jünger Audio’s digital dynamics processors are high quality devices that are designed to adjust the dynamic range of the digital audio signal in mastering or studio applications. Capable of handling stereo and 5.1 surround sound, the units are easy to use and require the operator to make only a limited number of manual settings to achieve optimum results. All other parameters required for inaudible processing of the dynamic range are automatically controlled by the program signal and are constantly optimized.

The dynamic range processor principles developed by Jünger Audio enable compressors, limiters and expanders to be produced with exceptionally high audio quality, without coloration, pumping, breathing, distortion or modulation effects sometimes associated with this type of processor.

All Jünger Audio dynamics processors work according to a multi-loop principle, operating in conjunction with multiple frequency linear control circuits. The resulting attack and release times of the system are variable and are adapted to the characteristics of the input signal. This allows relatively long attack times during steady-state signal conditions but also very short attack times when impulsive input transients are present.

Cristinel Sirli adds: “They are all tremendous machines and we have one in each of our seven studios. I chose Jünger Audio technology because it offers exceptional audio quality and brings a level of transparency to our sound processing work that no other machines can give. I am incredibly satisfied with the performance of these units and wouldn’t choose any other dynamics processor.”
