T-Systems Provides Cell Phone TV to Dubai

The Media&Broadcast subsidiary of T-Systems was commissioned by Tecom Investments to set up a DVB-H network for Dubai.

During the test phase, scheduled to run until year-end 2007, users will receive 12 TV channels on compliant cell phones and other mobile devices free of charge. Some 500 active mobile users are participating in the test

The plan is to expand the network at the beginning of 2008.

Media&Broadcast, working with transmission systems manufacturer Rohde & Schwarz, planned and set up the common frequency network for the system within four months.
