Tektronix features new HD rasterizer

Tektronix has announced the latest addition to its WVR family of rasterizers, the WVR7000, which provides basic SD, HD and composite video monitoring, plus AES-EBU and analog audio monitoring.

The WVR7000 is an ideal rasterizer for confidence monitoring (quality verification and control) and artistic monitoring (content processing) applications. This instrument is ideally suitable for the edit suite, where video and audio signal compliance is critical.

Highly flexible, the WVR7000 architecture allows a user to customize options and add on later. The WVR7000 supports HD monitoring applications with options to add SD and/or composite analog video monitoring capabilities. Available audio options feature support for monitoring digital audio (embedded or AES/EBU inputs) and analog audio. Flexible upgrade kits allow supplemental capabilities to be added in the field.

Among the features of the WVR7000 are: diamond, split diamond, arrowhead and timing displays to quickly ensure signal compliance; unique passive loop through to assure transparent monitoring throughout the entire signal path without introducing distortion; an error log capacity of 10,000 to perform unattended content monitoring; remote operation capabilities that allow control of an unlimited number of WVR instruments from a single Windows computer on an Ethernet network; FlexVu, a four-tile customizable display; and alarm detection, video quality statistics, status reporting and error logging of WVR7100 and WVR6100 models.
