RF Central acquires Total RF Marketing

Greatly expanding its inventory of microwave radios available for rent and sale, RF Central has acquired the assets of Total RF Marketing. No financial details were available at press time.

RF Central was formed in 2003 with the purchase of microwave assets from Winemiller Communications. With Total RF as a new division, RF Central now employs more than 80 people.

Total RF Marketing co-founder, Jim Malone, is now chief technology officer of RF Central and will also support Total RF on larger events. As president of Total RF, Steve Gansky, co-founder of Total RF Marketing, will continue to play a major role in the acquisition of microwave equipment from the company’s British supplier, Gigawave. Fred Fellmeth has been named Total RF's chief operating officer. Fellmeth will be responsible for the day-to-day operations. He previously served as General Counsel of Total RF Marketing.

Jeff Winemiller, RF Central’s president/CEO, said he plans to acquire several other strategic companies over the next six months to further expand the company.
