Avid has appointed Simon Brett as Senior Sales Manager for UK and Ireland. His remit covers all UK and Ireland professional video and audio product sales and he will be responsible for improving, supporting and optimising direct and indirect sales channels.
With over 21 years' experience within the broadcast industry, Brett has held roles as Country Manager (Europe) for Discreet Logic (now Autodesk), Managing Director of Tyrell, the UK-based Avid reseller, and founder and co-owner of UK Reseller XTFX.
"Simon has the valuable perspective of working on both sides of the fence, having worked in sales management roles for manufacturers and channel partners alike. His direct and indirect sales experience and style will be invaluable to Avid, particularly as it moves forward to foster closer customer and sales channel business partnerships," said Patrick Jocelyn, VP Sales EMEA, Avid.
