PNY Technologies, the supplier of Nvidia Quadro FX graphics boards and PC-centric specialty products, is showcasing its latest HD-SDI graphics products—the 5600 SDI by PNY, and 4600 SDI by PNY (Booth SL13913).
The units are based on Nvidia’s GPU architecture, offering a frame rate buffer up to 1.5 GB with the 5600 series, which is geared to improving the functionality of HD broadcast and motion picture applications and outputting HD-SDI content in real time.
The unusually long and interesting presidential campaign season has allowed an array of various HD graphics and other equipment to showcase their services far more than usual these days. PNY points out that a case in point would be the Decision 08 project at NBC Universal (for NBC, MSNBC and CNBC). PNY said NBC’s various networks’ inventory of real-time elections graphics and fully immersive virtual environments needed to be realized in both SD and HD. The Quadro FX 5600 SDI by PNY was deployed.
Nvidia Quadro SDI outputs uncompressed SDI in 2K, HD and SD formats on Windows and Linux.
