NASCAR Images, jointly owned by NASCAR Digital Entertainment and Fox Cable Networks, has chosen the Leitch Integrator as the core of a multi-format, multi-level routing system in its Charlotte, N.C.-based video production facility.
The Leitch Integrator will be the core of a multi-format, multi-level routing system in NASCAR Images Charlotte, N.C.-based video production facility.
Digital System Technology (DST), based in Irwindale, Calif., provided all systems integration services for the recently completed installation, which includes an 8 RU mixed-format video router comprising 64x64 SDI and 64x64 analog video, as well as a 64x64 audio router, 32x32 time-code router and 32-port data router, also within an 8RU frame.
Stu Albert, director of engineering, NASCAR Images, said that he chose the Leitch system because of its ability to easily handle the multiple signal formats in his facility’s “multi-level environment.” The Integrator's control software, he said, made system configuration simple and has provided them with flexible and powerful control capability.
