Hotta Promoted at FOR-A Limited



Audio and video systems manufacturer FOR-A Limited has promoted Mr. Susumu Hotta to general manager of overseas operations effective May 1. Previously the president of FOR-A Corp. of America, Mr. Hotta will operate from the company’s headquarters in Tokyo and continue to support U.S. operations from Japan.

Mr. Hotta’s career in the broadcast and professional video industry spans more than four decades. He served as president of FOR-A Corp. of America for the past eight years. Prior to joining FOR-A, he spent 35 years at Hitachi Denshi America in various roles, including president.

“It has been my honor to be part of FOR-A’s growth in the U.S. market. Our dedicated customer support and solutions-oriented approach, combined with our solid technical expertise, has earned FOR-A a much-deserved reputation as a full solutions provider,” said Mr. Hotta. “I am confident that my successor, Hiro Tanoue, will expand on our company’s success.”

At the 2009 NAB Show, FOR-A introduced several new products to the U.S. market, including two new switchers. The HVS-5400, the 4 M/E model of FOR-A’s flagship digital video switcher, provides native support of 3Gbps 1080p signals. The HVS-300HS is a compact, portable, multiformat switcher with 1 M/E and a built-in multiviewer.
