GVExpo Issues Call or Papers

From new technologies to management issues, the Government Video Conference Program at the Government Video & Technology Expo discusses important issues for video professionals. This year, officials are hoping to tap industry experts to address a number of timely topics through its Call for Papers.

The 9th annual GVExpo will run Dec. 6 and 7 at the Washington DC Convention Center. Program officials are looking for proposals in a variety of subjects, including streaming media, asset management, media storage, classroom AV, digital signage, and affordable HD production.

"This is a great way to share information with video professionals," said Mark J. Pescatore, executive conference chair. "These aren't commercial messages—they are case studies and other presentations that are designed to keep attendees up to date on the latest technologies in the industry."

All sessions should be tutorial in nature and have a running time of 25 minutes. Case studies are encouraged. If you'd like to submit a proposal, please fill out the official proposal template at the GVExpo Web site.

Proposals are due by June 16, 2006, and are welcomed from manufacturers, industry professionals, and educators. Notification of proposals accepted for GVExpo will be made by July 14, 2006. Presenters are responsible for their own transportation to, and accommodations during, GVExpo.

Admission to the show floor is free for registered attendees, but there is a charge for the Government Video Conference Program.
