Patti S. Hart, a former president/COO of Sprint's long distance service division, has been tapped as the new chairman/CEO of Pinnacle Systems, replacing Kim Fennell, who resigned in November 2003. Ms. Hart was also elected to the board, filling an open position.
Hart was most recently the chairman and CEO of Excite@Home and is also a former president and CEO of Telocity, a DSL provider acquired by DirecTV in 2001.
"I am excited by the prospects of Pinnacle Systems," Hart said. "Pinnacle has a tremendous asset in it strong team of people around the world dedicated to meeting the unique needs of their customers. While Pinnacle has a history of distinguished achievements, I am certain that sharpening our focus on process and execution will result in continued improvement for our customers and shareholders."
