Eyeheight debuts HD-SDI link box

At NAB2007 at booth #SU2823, Eyeheight will display its full line of multidefinition broadcast production equipment. The exhibit will include hands-on demonstrations of Ethernet-based module control and data uploading, which provide the location-independent operating flexibility broadcasters increasingly demand.

Of particular interest, the enigmaHDi allows RS-232 data to be transported via HD-SDI link, providing a fully transparent serial link. Data is carried with complete integrity on three user-selectable lines of the HD signal stream. The enigmaHDi can be used for a wide variety of applications, including camera pan/tilt data forwarding to effects equipment, caption data forward and tape metadata delivery. Carrier lines can be blanked to conceal data from downstream devices or viewers. In addition, due to its compact size, two enigmaHDi units can be housed in 1U.

Also, Eyeheight's keyEyesMDi is a high-quality downstream linear keyer for 1080i and 720p, 625 and 525 operation. keyEyesMDi incorporates all the facilities needed for generating matte overlays. It enables overlays to be located anywhere on the video display, as a solid or transparent image. Fill and key inputs with adjustable horizontal timing are provided, as well as matte generators, wipe, independent main and preview keyers and EDH reinsertion for the main output. Key on/off plus six user-definable control sequences are accessible via an integral GPI interface card. Equipped for easy HD-SDI and SD-SDI connectivity, it incorporates program and preview outputs.

A safeEyesMDi safe-area generator and legalEyesMDi multidefinition legalizer will also be on display.
