Euphonix's Mike Franklin Takes on New Sales Role

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based manufacturer of digital audio consoles and recording equipment, Euphonix, has appointed Mike Franklin as vice president of sales for the eastern U.S. The appointment adds this responsibility to Franklin's existing role as vice president of U.S. broadcast sales.

Franklin joined Euphonix from SSL in 1997 as the sales manager for the company's southern region. After six years, Euphonix promoted him to lead broadcast sales in the U.S. Franklin was also instrumental in managing the Euphonix Max Air U.S. Broadcast Tour, which took the console to hundreds of TV stations throughout the U.S. from 2002 to 2005.

"The East Coast is a critical market for us and Mike is definitely the right person in the right place to move Euphonix forward," Russell Waite, Euphonix's executive vice president of sales and product marketing, said. "Mike's wealth of experience in the broadcast, music, post and live markets will increase our East Coast presence, especially with our expanded range of EuCon DAW-connected products including the MC, System 5-MC and System 5."

Franklin will be based out of the company's New York office.
