Dielectric Acquires Brookstone Telecom
Dielectric Communications has bought Brookstone Telecom, a Temecula-Calif.-based provider of development, construction, monitoring and service of cell sites, switches and control centers for the wireless telecom industry for an undisclosed amount.
Dielectric--one of the leading suppliers of broadcast antenna systems in the U.S., bought Brookstone to increase its service offerings and geographic reach. Brookstone has annual revenues of more than $40 million.
"One of the key components in our growth strategy is expanding our current service offerings," said Greg Langston, Dielectric's president. "Our broadcast and wireless customers will benefit from Brookstone's trained service teams and expertise supporting the wireless industry."
For now, Dielectric, a unit of SPX Corp., plans to maintain the Brookstone name and add its staff of 225 to its 650-person team.
