Changes Ahead for NAB2007

~ April 26, 2006

When you return to the Las Vegas Convention Center for NAB2007, be prepared for some changes; the conference will feature new exhibitor product categories and floor layout.

NAB2007 is scheduled for April 14-19, and the organization said a significant portion of the exhibit space has already been sold.

NAB said the conference has outgrown its current configuration, and will now utilize all of the LVCC North Hall - instead of just the eastern half as it has in recent years - including both floors of the South Hall, and all of the Central and North Halls. RTNDA@NAB will, however, remain at the Hilton.

The most dramatic changes will take place in the North Hall, as the Radio exhibitors will shift from the eastern end of the hall (N1-2) to the western end (N3-4). North 1-2 will now feature Content Acquisition and Production, Management and Systems, and Pro Audio exhibits. Also, the main registration area will move to the North Hall.

NAB also said the categorization of exhibitor's products and services must be changed to better reflect the changes in current technology and processes involved.

Beginning with NAB2007, the exhibit floor will be divided into the following categories, which reflect the processes involved in content creation through delivery: Acquisition and Production, Post-Production, Management and Systems, Delivery and Distribution, Display Systems, Pro Audio, Radio, RTNDA@NAB, Technologies for Worship, and Content Village.
