Telestream of Nevada City, Calif., made a milestone over the holiday, marking the 10 millionth download of its Flip4Mac WMV Components for QuickTime.

Telestream said it’s celebrating by releasing Version 2.2 of the software. Flip4Mac WMV 2.2 includes player enhancements for all Mac users and faster export speeds for Intel Mac users. Flip4Mac WMV Components enable Macintosh users to play, import and export Windows Media video and audio files in native QuickTime applications.

Other 2.2 enhancements include support of Apple’s recently released Leopard operating system, improved Windows Media playback support, and user-controlled playlists and custom buttons. It also provides faster encoding speeds on Intel Macs and support for Microsoft Silverlight Web applications.

The Flip4Mac pack starts at $29; the upgrade is free for existing users.
