Volicon Goes for Records With Archiving, Streaming Solutions

Volicon will demonstrate its turnkey solutions for digital video archiving and streaming solutions at NAB2007, including its Observer multichannel video monitoring and logging system for the television broadcast and telecommunications industries, cable programmers, cable MSOs, and corporate and government markets. The company's proprietary video processing system, comprised of a video encoder and streaming engine, gives a large number of users simultaneous access to multiple channels of video content over a network.

The newest product in the Volicon's Observer range, the Observer-HD, features 30-day HD signal logging and monitoring capabilities for two or four channels and features Dolby 5.1 sound. It provides access to live and archived HD content from the desktop using a Microsoft Internet Explorer-compatible interface.

Volicon is also adding four productivity modules to its Observer product line to further streamline the workflow in TV station marketing and operations departments: a new Search Engine Module, a Quality Control Monitoring Module, an Ad Verification and Video Affidavit Module, and a Centralized Monitoring and Viewing Module.

Also on display will be Volicon's established products, including the Volicon Observer RPM, which helps cable operators, IPTV service providers, and broadcasters monitor the quality of their broadcasts in central and remote, unstaffed headend facilities.

Volicon will be in booth N3231.
